  • Run Your Trades Business from Your Smartphone

A long long time ago (30 years) we wrote a programme to track and trace all of our Straton Electrical job cards.

It served us well until our needs became a bit more demanding.

As tradesmen we all know that time is money and that we all have those jobs that slip through the cracks only to be invoiced much later or, horror of horrors, are not invoiced at all.

We all know how time consuming it is to assign jobs, track them, chase job cards, manage projects, invoice the client and chase for payment.

Suffice to say – Straton Electrical has tried many different solutions over the past 30 years whilst our job card programme became progressively longer in the tooth.

Our needs are pretty basic:

  • Enquiry Form – see this in action on our web site here: https://straton.co.za
  • Calendar appointments for Quotes
  • Quick quoting method – preferably whilst we are at the client’s premises
  • Mobile App to track, trace and record completed jobs
  • App to use our existing accounting package – Quickbooks
  • Easy CSV upload of products
  • Easy transfer of Supplier, Product and Client Account Info out of Quickbooks
  • Shallow learning curve

All of the above need to be operated from one APP.

After many stop start procedures with other Apps and software solutions (bespoke or otherwise) we settled on using Tradify.

Now Tradify offers: Enquiries, Quotes/estimates, Invoicing, Digital timesheets, Online & onsite payments, Job management & tracking, Staff & subcontractor scheduling, Instant website builder, Field service management all with Free training & support and a host of other nice to haves.

Our onboarding was facilitated by a helpful Tradify representative and we have been using Tradify for a couple of months now.

Time enough to recommend the App to our Mates along with R2 500.00 in Tradify credit for anyone signing up for a paid account.

Tradify is ideal for trades such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, gas, property maintenance, builders, roofers and floorers. In fact any business selling time at client premises.

We have found that we are saving time and responding quicker to job enquiries and estimate that we save around 5 hours a week which more than compensates for the amount of money we spend on the Tradify App.

Straton Electrical is on the Tradify Plus Package (R630.00 per user) which includes:
